The Buddha Belly is located in the beautiful surroundings of Palmland Nursery. It provides a unique venue, ideal for hosting weddings or special functions. Our restaurant is made up of a series of Balinese pavilions that inter-connect throughout the Japanese Garden, creating an atmosphere of calm and beauty.
The restaurant has many areas for intimate groups, and larger spaces able to cater for dancing or live musicians. With our private garden and our Asian style dining room, we can tailor-make functions to suit every need and budget, such as special boutique weddings, cocktail parties, birthdays, engagements and vowel renewals.
The following information outlines most aspects of holding a function at The Buddha Belly, and should help in assisting you to make your decision. Should you have any further queries, please call us and we will be happy to help.
We can cater for your function in a variety of ways. The Buddha Belly can provide canapes served in the garden, with a set menu or limited a la carte menu, individually served or on platters to the tables.
We have many different dishes to choose from off our current menus, however if you have any specific requirements or a request for something you may have had at our restaurant in the past, then please ask for its possible inclusion. The final menu needs to be confirmed no later than one week prior to your function date.
The Buddha Belly is a fully licensed venue. We have reasonably priced wines and beers and can provide a beverage menu to suit any budget.
The Buddha Belly has a capacity for 80-100 Guests including children. We cater for functions in the evenings only, available from 6.00pm through to 11.30pm. It is usually not possible to start any earlier as we need time to prepare for your function as our daily trading finishes at 4.00pm.
The Buddha Belly has an extensive Carpark creating easy parking, wheelchair access ramp and Disabled bathrooms, catering for all your guests’ requirements.
The restaurant tables are set in full white linen, or with traditional Indonesian table runners at your request. We provide flowers for decorating the tables in combination with tea light candles. If you have a special request that is in keeping with the theme or style of your wedding we are more than happy to supply flowers that go with this.
In regards to music you have a variety of options. You can keep it simple by using our selection of iPod playlists. Or we can put you in contact with musicians that play regularly at the Buddha Belly, ranging from harpists, to swing bands.
It is possible to have both your wedding ceremony and your reception at The Buddha Belly.

Food packs ranging from $50-70 per person
Drink packs ranging from $30-45 per person or on-consumption
Children’s meals (12yrs and under) $30 per person
Photographers, band members etc. $30 per person (main meal only)
Deposit to secure booking is $1000. This deposit is completely transferable if you wish to change the date of your function. The deposit is not refundable for cancellations. This deposit also acts as a security bond on the night, any damages to gardens or items in the garden will be taken out of this bond.
Confirmation of booking is made with a deposit of $1000. We will hold a tentative booking on your first enquiry. However if this date is requestion by another party, then we will call you and ask for you to secure the booking with a deposit within two working days. Confirmation of booking is only secured with deposit.
Friday night $3000
Saturday night $4000
Please note – if your numbers and package fall below these minimum prices, you are still required to pay the minimum spend amount.
All prices quoted include GST. Prices quoted are valid providing the deposit is paid.
Final numbers are required 1 week before the function date. Please remember to indicate the number of special meals required (child,, band, and vegetarian etc.). Final costs for food and drink packs will be charged to these numbers.

For on consumption drinks, payment to be made at end of function
Please note we accept cash, cheque or credit card payments, however American Express and Diners do incur a 3% surcharge fee.
